Osthi film has got a ‘U’ certificate

STR’s eagerly awaited Dharani directed Osthi, a remake of Salman Khan’s Dabangg has been censored by Chennai regional censors.

The film has got a ‘U’ certificate, making producer T Ramesh of Balaji Real Media very happy.

Osthi has Silambarasan and Richa in the lead along with Sonu Sood, Jithan Ramesh and others. The film has an item number by Mallika Sherawat with music by Thaman.

The film has now been confirmed as a December 1 release through Reliance Entertainment.

Irandam Ulagam After Seva Honeymoon Trip

Selvaraghavan Mayakkam Enna will hit the theaters on Nov 25th. But the director is ready to shoot for his ambitious project Irandam Ulagam with Arya and Anushka Shetty from December. Before that Selva and Gitanjali will fly around for their honeymoon it seems.

The director who has postponed his honeymoon trip for the release of Dhanush’s Mayakkam Enna, now the couples are ready to hang out. He says once we are back from the honeymoon trip, we will be starting Irandam Ulagam. Arya who is thrilled to work with Selvaraghavan is waiting to see Mayakkam Enna with the audience.

Pooja Kumar With Kamal Haasan

It is confirmed that Pooja Kumar, an NRI is going to play Kamal Haasan’s heroine in Viswaroopam.

Pooja Kumar is the replacement for Sonakshi Sinha, who was originally signed to do the film. Later it was rumoured that Shriya Saran was approached for the role, but did not work out.

In an interview to a Mumbai tabloid, Kamal Haasan said : “Pooja Kumar, an actress from New York will star opposite me in Viswaroopam. She’s a Punjabi girl of Indian origin. It’s a big break for her. Vishwaroopam is probably the biggest film being made in Tamil Nadu right now”.

Pooja Kumar is an American actress, producer, model and television hostess. She was crowned Miss India USA and has been a veejay for Channel V, a newsreader on the show Namaste America. She has in small roles in films like Kaadhal Rojave, Night of Henna, Flavors, Hiding Divya, Park Sharks, Bollywood Beats, Anything For You and was seen recently in Anjaane Anjani.

Shriya’s In love for puppy

She leaves millions of youths gasping after her hour-glass figure and facial beauty. Though not among the busiest of actresses in Tamil films at this moment, actress Shriya Saran does feature regularly in the news in the press. The fact that her last couple of films in Chikku Bhukku and Rowthiram opposite Aarya and Jiiva (respectively in that order) failed didn’t help her at all in establishing her position in Kollywood.

A little known fact about Shriya is that she has delivered lectures at some of the country’s premier management institutions. Another interesting feature in the actress’ persona is that she is a great animal lover. Readers are reminded here that actresses patronizing ailing and suffering animals has been there right from the times of yesteryear actress Amala (wife of Tollywood’s Nagarjuna) till today’s Trisha.

Shriya was traveling recently when she came across an ailing dog which was lying in a pathetic manner in a pool of rainwater by the side of the road. Shriya stopped her car, got out of it and without thinking about anything, picked up the puppy in her hands. After knowing that the puppy had injuries all over its body, the curvaceous Shriya headed straight to a veterinary hospital.

The puppy was administered treatment and was saved thanks to Shriya’s intervention. Going a step further, Shriya later took the puppy to her house and is now bringing up the puppy with lots of love and affection after naming it as ‘Dhruv’. We can only say that the dog must be the luckiest soul in the world to have got Shriya’s care, love and affection!
