Though not among the busiest of actresses in Tamil films at this moment, actress Shriya Saran does feature regularly in the news in the press. The fact that her last couple of films in Chikku Bhukku and Rowthiram opposite Aarya and Jiiva (respectively in that order) failed didn’t help her at all in establishing her position in Kollywood.A little known fact about Shriya is that she has delivered lectures at some of the country’s premier management institutions. Another interesting feature in the actress’ persona is that she is a great animal lover. Shriya was traveling recently when she came across an ailing dog which was lying in a pathetic manner in a pool of rainwater by the side of the road. Shriya stopped her car, got out of it and without thinking about anything, picked up the puppy in her hands. After knowing that the puppy had injuries all over its body, the curvaceous Shriya headed straight to a veterinary hospital.
The puppy was administered treatment and was saved thanks to Shriya’s intervention. Going a step further, Shriya later took the puppy to her house and is now bringing up the puppy with lots of love and affection after naming it as ‘Dhruv’. We can only say that the dog must be the luckiest soul in the world to have got Shriya’s care, love and affection!
