Muppozhudum Un Karpanai and Kaadhalil Sodappuvadu Eppadi. In Vettai, she shares screen space with popular actors such as Sameera Reddy, Arya and Madhavan. She says, ‘ I am happy and thrilled to do many movies. Even my Telugu venture is shaping up’.

She is confident that Vettai will establish a place for herself in Kollywod.

Rajinikanth now in Godspeed

Superstar Rajinikanth aka Thalaivar that’s how their fans call him so, has started his daily routine in Godspeed it seems. The Superstar amidst all this bad climate wakes up so early in morning near by 4am, steps out of his house in poes garden covering ears and body with a shawl with face only mostly visible.

Then the style king starts his morning walk with high speed outside the streets in poes garden. The Superstar who is well known for his speed, meditation, yoga has risen back to his form says sources. But know that he doesn’t take any guards with him, justs goes walking like a simple ordinary man.

Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Final Today

The shooting of Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal will be wrapped up today and post production work is expected to begin soon. The shooting schedule was slightly delayed because music director GV Prakash was busy with the promos of Mayakkam Enna.

He has completed setting the tunes for the last song and it is being filmed at the Binny Mills in Chennai. This song is expected to be completed today following which the team will wrap up the shooting.

MUK stars Atharva and Amala Paul in the lead roles. It is romantic film that will hit the screens during early 2012.

Would offer bulk dates… years… for AO 2: Dhanush

Dhanush has said that he would offer bulk dates or even bulk years, if Selvaraghavan wanted him to act in Aayirathil Oruvan 2. The star said that he was supposed to do Parthiban’s role in AO but finally director Selvaraghavan decided against casting him.

Dhanush revealed that Selva wanted to cast him as a Prince in the film but since the role went to Parthiban, the character turned out to be a King. He revealed that when Selva told him about the role, he began preparing very hard to get the right characterization.

“In fact, when Selva told me that I am not in for the role, I felt very bad and could not sleep for a week”, said Dhanush. Hence, in case Selva confirms Dhanush in AO 2, he would allot bulk dates or even years!

Rajapattai Movie confirmed for X’mas!

PVP Cinemas have confirmed that Chiyaan Vikram’s Rajapattai will release in December, most likely for Christmas on December 23.

An ad of the film announcing a December release has been splashed in today’s (Nov 27) newspapers.

Rajapattai has Vikram and Deeksha Seth in the lead and is directed by Suseenthiran. The audio of the film which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is most likely to be released at a big function in Chennai on December 4 or 5.

Since Vikram has a huge market in Andhra, the film is getting dubbed in Telugu as Veedinthe with the tagline ‘By Birth’.

It would release simultaneously along with the Tamil version. The veteranTelugu director and actor K Vishwanath is playing Vikram’s father in the film.

Anushka in Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan?

Is Tamil cinema’s hot and happening girl Anushka going to be superstar Rajinikanth’s heroine in Kochadaiyaan ?

The grapevine is abuzz that Soundarya Rajinikanth and KS Ravikumar who are directing the film have spoken to Anushka to do this animation 3D film.

Sweety, as she is popularly known is currently doing Karthi’s new untitled film directed by Suraj. And then she will be doing Vikram’s Thandavam with Vijay and finally she has committed to Selvaraghavan’s new film with Arya.

Kochadaiyaan is being made using the motion capturing technique, like the recent Steven Spielberg Adventures of Tintin. All that Anushka requires to do is to face the camera and her body language will be captured and it would be assigned to animation.

Her entire role will be completed in a high-tech studio. Anushka also technically will be known as the heroine of the film. The chances of her lending her face for a Rajinikanth film are bright.

TKK Claim Osthi Not Tamil Word

The latest film to get into a fix over its title is Osthi.

Tamizh Kappu Kazhagam (TKK), a pro-Tamil organisation has objected to the title of the film.

They claim there is no word in Tamil called Osthi, and it is not a pure Tamil name.

During the earlier Karunanidhi regime, there was a strict rule that films with only Tamil titles could be eligible for total entertainment tax exemption.

But under the new regime, entertainment tax has been increased to 30 %, so producers are not particular about using pure Tamil titles for their films.

STR’s Osthi has already been censored with a U certificate, and the film is slated for release on December 8.

Sherin Back With ‘Abaayam’

Sherin was once one of the most wanted young heroines in Tamil. The star who was introduced in ‘Thulluvatho Ilamai’ with Dhanush delivered a series of hits in Tamil like ‘Student No. 1’, ‘Visil’ and ‘Urchaagam’ is back in Tamil now.

Her Telugu hit film ‘Danger’ is getting dubbed and released in Tamil as ‘Abaayam’. The thriller directed by Krishnavamsi was a big hit for Sherin in Telugu and the star hopes, “With this film ‘Abaayam’, I’m returning to Tamil. This will be a start of my second innings in here”.

Sherin is currently working in Malayalam and Kannada films. She is also approached by filmmakers in Tamil and is waiting for a story that gives the right break. She also intends to get into direction in future.

Rana Daggubati Do Cameo Role in STR’s Vada Chennai

Rana Daggubati who is considered as the hot property from Tollywood is all set to make his debut in Tamil.He will perform a cameo role in National Award winner Vetrimaaran’s next venture, Vada Chennai which will feature Simbhu in the lead. It is reported that the movie is about planned crimes that takes places in and around North Chennai.

Meanwhile, Andrea is also roped in for an important role in the movie and the director is not ready to disclose any more details about the movie . He makes no changes to his technical team which worked for Award Winning movie Aadukalam. Velraj will handle the camera while G.V.Prakash will compose for this flick. Vetrimaaran and Co. are busy hunting for the heroine . The photo shoot of the movie is underway and the movie will go on floors from February .

When he did it for SRK in Ra.One, will he do it again for his daughter in 3? That is the latest buzz in Kollywood today. After the Kolaveri mania, it is said that Superstar’s daughter Aishwarya is planning to get in Rajinikanth to do a cameo appearance in film, which had Dhanush and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.

It is said that Rajni is highly impressed with the Kolaveri song and appreciate Dhanush for his wonderful effort. 3 is an emotional love story which is expected to be different and catchy.

The actress's profile in a leading microblogging page was active ever since her 'break' from the industry, but it came as news toNayantara itself that she had a profile on a social networking site!
 
She expressed that she is not a member of any networking sites and that someone has impersonated her and is chatting with all her fans.
 
Initially Nayan announced through a media house that she is not the one using this profile to chat with her fans or fellow industry members. But now after the person had posted messages on sensitive issues like 'Dam 999' with Nayan's name, she wants to take this up to the cyber crime officials in the city.

Shruti out, Ileana in

 

'Nanban' girl, Ileana has replaced Shruti Haasan in a biggie, a Telugu flick, 'Gabbar Singh'. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and will go on floors this December.
 
'Gabbar Singh' is a biggie film that boasts off a budget of 40 crore rupees and it is said that the makers felt that a known top notch Telugu actress is required for the script and hence dropped Shruti and approached Ileana who was only more than willing to accept the role.
 
If you're wondering what the film is all about, it is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Dabangg' that starred Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles and is shortly being released as 'Osthi' in Tamil with Simbu aka STR and Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles.
 
'Osthi' sees Richa as a rural belle and it now looks like Ileana is all set to don the rural look for the Telugu version of 'Dabangg'.

Vimal, Oviya in 'Silu Silunu Oru Sandhippu'

The 'Kalavani' pair is meeting again, this time with a film that is aptly titled 'Silu Silunu Oru Sandhippu'. "It will be a breezy romantic entertainer as the name suggests and both Vimal and Oviya are happy about working together once again," a little birdie tells us.

The movie which will go on floors very soon will be directed by Ravi Lallin, who has worked with several popular filmmakers earlier. Besides wielding the megaphone, he is also penning the story, screenplay and dialogues of 'Silu Silunu Oru Sandhippu'

Apart from Oviya, the project will have another heroine too, and that is Deepa Shah of 'Yuddhm Sei' fame. The actress was waiting for such an offer after working with Mysskin in 'Yuddham Sei'. She has got a meaty role to play, along with Vimal and Oviya, the source says.

Rajesh Yadhav will take care of the cinematography. "The film to be produced by S Nandhagopal will be shot in Tamil Nadu and also in a few foreign locales. Ravi Lallin is keen to wrap up the movie as early as possible to enable to hit the screens by the first quarter of 2012."
