Whom will ARM favor for his 7am Arivu Hindi version?

Close on the heels of successful launch of Ghazini, AR Murugadoss has won the fame from his 7am Arivu in Bollywood. The story and the narrative techniques made the prime Khans of Bollywood- Salman and Aamir. They are on tough heels to woo ARM for Hindi right of 7am Arivu.

Both have disclosed their wish to go in for the remake and it is not known whom will ARM favor in this regard. What made them feel to reap this remake was the imminent success of the remake Tamil films, Ghazni for Aamir while Salman won the fame with Wanted (Pokkiri) and Bodyguard (Kavalan).

Thus they believe that the concept of 7am Arivu may bring in new horizon in the conventional Bollywood stories. In this puzzling move, it all rests on the decision of ARM to prefer the hero of his choice. Kaun Banega Bodhidharama?

Yuvan’s number to scintillate again in Billa 2

When the film Billa was released with much hype, the songs of the movie hit the air with strong emotions and tapestry. Nayanthara and Namitha occupied the mainframes of glamour. Vishnuvardan knew the knack of injecting the nuances of youthfulness in this film. For the song Sei Yethavathu Sei, the choreography was such a magnetic reel of frames for the visuals.

As the song is to hit the sequel too, Yuvan has refined it with added vigor, it seems. Recently the director of Billa 2 shot the song sequences for this song and the unit was momentarily rejoiced to watch the proceedings. The reason is the fresh arrival of Meenakshi Dixit to share the foot loose with Thala in this song. Incidentally this song is the debut for her to Kollywood and she is said to have exerted all the energy into it.

This was made easy for her since she swept the glam fame throughout Tollywood. Especially Dookkudu made waves across the state as she paired with Mahesh Babu in this film. Actually she is an import from Bollywood and she knows the need of the south audience. Chakri Toleti should be patted for identifying for this mega movie.

HOW BILLA 2 SHOULD BE!

2012 will be marked a special year in the history of Indian Cinema, with the release of Billa 2, India’s first prequel movie, a forte even the Badshahs of Bollywood haven’t tried. 
Given that the film is going to ride on the success of Billa 2007, it should keep reminding the audience that it’s a prequel to keep them engaged. Otherwise it would be yet another run-of-the-mill don movie.
Few factors can be taken into consideration in the making of the movie.
Characterization: Reportedly, it’s about David, an Eelam refugee, becoming a dreaded don. So it’s a game of survival, hence you cannot expect David to be fooling around, he means only business. Also, it would be better off if the movie doesn’t have songs that involve David directly or show him dancing. The glam dolls can dance around him, just like “Sei Ethavadu” in Billa 2007.
Right from the beginning, David should be shown involved in smuggling, a petty smuggler becoming a master of smuggling. 
Continuity and References: This is the most important factor that needs to be taken care of since it’s a prequel. There should be a lot of continuity between the first and second part. Unanswered questions from the first part can be given a reason in the second part. Why Billa doesn’t smoke or drink? Why Billa doesn’t trust anyone? There can be a scene which shows David’s interests in cars, learning driving and trying out few stunts; gives you a strong backing for why he is such a good driver. 
Few interesting dialogs can be added to hint about Billa 2007. Like David can say to someone, "Enna madiri yaarum illa, en edathukku yaarum vara mudiyadu", and the character he is speaking to can reply, "Apdi solla mudiyadu, kandippa ennaikavadu oruthan varuvan", which hints about Velu's character from Billa 2007.
Character names and places in Billa 2007 can be referred in Billa 2 somewhere in the movie. Since it doesn’t involve, Mark, CJ and Sasha, let’s say towards the end of the film, where he would have become almost a don, an accomplice of Billa can say, “We have come across a guy named Mark, he would be useful for us.” Somewhere in the movie, Malaysia should be mentioned and a reason should be given on what triggered David Billa to set up his empire in Malaysia.
Theme: Most Hollywood movies follow a theme throughout the movie, an important factor most Indian movies lack. There were only a handful of movies in Tamil that followed a theme, in spite of them being masala movies. 
In our case, Billa 2007 talks about survival, be it DSP Jai Prakash, Sasha or Billa, each one worries about their survival and killing others. Same way, Billa 2 too should carry a theme in which it has to travel. Of course, survival is the main theme, but doing so would come very close to the movie Pudhupettai.

Simbu in Delhi Belly Remake

Director Kannan who gave hits like Jeyam Kondaan, Kandaen Kadhalai will be directing the Tamil remake of the Delhi Belly. A source says, ‘Kannan is currently in Puducherry, discussing the script for Delhi Belly. John Mahendran, who earlier directed Sachien, is penning the dialogues for the Tamil remake and the cast of the film will be decided soon.’

Interestingly, the buzz was that Simbu would be reprising Imran Khan’s character in the film.
The Bollywood flick came under the scanner for extensive use of cuss words and there was even a protest against its screening in theatres.

Now, the Kollywood audience will have to wait and see how Kannan and John manage to tone down the expletives, and yet, retain the essence of the film.

Rajinikanth reject Shahrukh Khan’s Gift – BMW Car

Shahrukh Khan, who had planned to bestow Rajinikanth with a BMW car for doing a cameo in Ra.One, might be disappointed to hear that the Tamil superstar may not accept his gift. The Endhiran star, who is known for his simplicity, agreed to do the cameo on a friendly gesture and not to make something out of it.

Reports say that Shahrukh Khan has booked some of the high end BMW series. The Bollywood actor wants to thank those, who made Ra.One special, and has planned to gift a swanky car each for actor Arjun Rampal, director Anubhav Sinha and Rajinikanth. However, the Tamil superstar, who still prefers his old car for travelling in the city, may reject his gift.

Rajinikanth leads a simple life and he never likes to take luxurious gifts from anyone. Even if he accepts it, the actor may give it to his close friends or relatives, reports further add.

However, this is not for the first time, where Shahrukh Khan is gifting luxurious cars. Earlier, he had presented an expensive car for Farah Khan after the success of Om Shanti Om.

Income Tax raid at Anushka’s residence

Officials of the Income Tax Department conducted raids at actress Anushka’s residence at Hyderabad yesterday.Anushka is among one of the top actresses in both Tamil and Telugu film industries.

The raid comes at a time when some press reports in neighbouring State claimed that the lanky actress’ fee per film had breached the Re.1 crore mark. A team of officials from the Income Tax department descended at Anuskha’s sprawling residence at Hyderabad’s posh Jubilee Hills locality at around 02:00 p.m.

The raids went on for more than an hour during when each and every millimeter of the residence was searched. Anushka was very much at her residence, along with her parents, when the raids were conducted. Unconfirmed reports say that some ‘important’ documents along with some bank pass books and some money in ‘hard cash’ were recovered from the actress’ residence.

Incidentally, this is the second such raid conducted at the actress’ place in less than an year. When contacted, Anushka’s manager Raghu denied that any such raid was conducted at all. He said that the raids took place only at the house of an industrialist who is the actress’ next-door neighbour.

Vithagan Movie – Review Online

It is R Parthiban’s Show all the way
The film, which has been in making since 2008, has finally released today. ‘Vithagan’, which also happens to be the 50th film of Parthipan, has him in the role of a police officer, who is brainy as well as brawny.

Story
R Parthiban as Rowthiran who intoduces himself as a sincere and strict police officer faces many problems. Poorna as Mary meets Rowthiran at a social welfare cause that is conducted in the church. Soon they fall in Love and get married. At one point he comes across through a situation where little children who are orphaned are tortured by anti-social elements to gain money. Rowthiran enters into the problem and warns the baddies, but they don’t giver ear to his emotions.

Soon a sad incident happens and Rowthiran who stayed as a honest police officer regrets for being so. That’s when Rowthiran takes law in his own hands, till now he stood as a cop with emotions. But he feels that is not going to change anything. So he plans to play cleverly to defeat the criminals. So he uses his witty plans and actions against them which makes the criminals suffer. Then how he overtakes the evil with his brains forms a crucial climax.

Performance
R Parthiban has returned with a bang. His perfomance as the witty and clever police officer brings the audience to a laugh riot. Poorna as Mary has done her part well. Music by Joshua Sridar is an added advantage to the movie. The Bgm is really pleasant and good. Also other roles in the movie are also given apt importance to score.

Technicalities
The making of Vithagan is really good. Cinematography has been handled well, locations are well organised. Editing by Antony gives the movie a racy feel. Screenplay of the movie is innovative which is an added advantage, it doesn’t leave the audience to boredom at any stage.

Analysis
The Movie begins with usual cop kind of story, but soon it takes lots of twists and gives a fresh feel. Also even the first half may look slower, the second half is pumped up. So R Parthiban who has released the movie with less competitions is sure to steal the audience by his narration style.

Rajini’s Sultan to be re-launched with a new name

Superstar Rajinikanth shot for a few days for the animation film Sultan: The Warrior more than a couple of years ago. The film, which was launched by Rajini’s younger daughter Soundarya prior to her marriage, got caught up in so many unexpected tangles. Soundarya got into a ‘loan’ mess from which she was rescued by her father who later told her to stay away from making Sultan.

Sultan was in fact started long before Rajini’s Sivaji: The Boss which released prior to his Enthiran: The Robot. It was a production by Soundarya’s Ocher Studios. As it was the first time an Indian star’s name was associated with an animation film in the country, Rajini’s fans were highly expectant about the movie.

Rajini shot with Vijayalakshmi (of Chennai 600 028 fame) for a few days in locations like Cambodia and Vietnam. Due to reasons which were purely unexpected and beyond anybody’s control, the film couldn’t be completed as Rajini got busy with Sivaji and then with Enthiran. It was expected that he’d concentrated in Sultan after completing Enthiran but Rajini’s attention was drawn towards making Rana, which also was affected due to his ill-health.

Reports started appearing in the film as to whether or not Sultan would ultimately see the light of the day. Soundarya has assured Rajini’s fans on her Twitter page that the film would surely be completed soon and released. “I’m happy about all the queries made about Sultan. I’m happy to inform you all that the film would soon be re-started with a new title and a new script,” said Soundarya.
